Sonheuwel Central is a bustling, mixed-use commercial and residential area, close to shops, medical facilities, schools, restaurants, entertainment and churches. Comprising Sonpark Shopping Centre, Rob Ferreira Hospital, the Civic Centre and Nelmed area, as well as Nelspruit Primary and St Peter's School, it is also the epicentre of the annual InniBos Festival.

Many of the large stands have been developed into high-density complexes, but there are still many homes, ranging in size and potential, up for grabs. Best suited to busy families who prefer the convenience of shops and amenities on their doorstep.  

Sonheuwel Extension 1 is the area generally "behind" Westend Shopping Centre, to the east. It includes Halssnoer Crescent and surrounds, Curro, part of the Uitsig Estate Complex and Mediclinic. This quiet, established suburban haven is perfect for families and is conveniently situated close to schools and shops, without being part of the hustle. Large tracts of open land, parks and big properties make this a desirable suburban destination.  

Sonheuwel Extension 2 is a modest, unassuming suburb which lies between Mediclinic and the Tshwane University of Technology. Right next to the hospital and Westend Shopping Centre, and with Laerskool Laeveld within walking distance, it would suit families with young children.
