Best of Mbombela: Kellaprince Properties gets nominated for the top honour

Category General News

The Kellaprince Properties practitioner you meet goes the extra mile to help you buy, sell, rent, or let out your property. And that dedication is paying off. The real estate agency received a nomination for Lowvelder's Best of Mbombela Reader's Choice Awards 2022. Recognised as a "Best Estate Agent" in the "Living in Mbombela" category, the accolade reflects the company's motto: real solutions, real service, and great real estate opportunities.

Best of Mbombela, a voice for the community

As far back as 2011, Lowvelder's annual awards have given the public the opportunity to vote for their favourite businesses in Mbombela (Nelspruit). It's a chance to award a treasured establishment based on its reputation, customer satisfaction, and business excellence for the quality of its service, value, professionalism, and integrity it shows on a daily basis. In this way, locals can easily pinpoint the best of the best in Mbombela when making shopper decisions.

Nominations for the awards started in December 2021 and readers had until January 31 2022 to name their favourite service providers. Kellaprince Properties got a nod of approval and were amongst the top real estate agencies vying for the crown during the voting process. While the winners have yet to be announced, the agency is proud to have been recognised by the Mbombela community.

"We are pleased and humbled to be nominated for the awards," says Mark Moore, Marketing Manager at Kellaprince Properties. "The Best of Mbombela is the ultimate barometer for the community's sentiment and celebrates the best of the best in the city."

According to Moore, the nomination is a highlight since the real estate agency first won a Best of Mbombela Award for Best Property Agency back in 2015. "It's been almost a decade since our last win. In that time, we have remained committed to our values and provided excellent client service. It's wonderful to be recognised again for our hard work to help our clients reach their real estate goals."

A local Mbombela success story

Kellaprince Properties was established in 1986, the union of competing real estate agencies in Barberton, Mpumalanga. However, the company has roots that stretch back over a century to 1887 as FT Kellar & Co, the first estate agency in the Lowveld.

Over the years, Kellaprince Properties has become the number one choice in real estate, assisting with residential, commercial, industrial, retail, and agricultural property across Mpumalanga. The company has also altered the landscape of Mbombela through acclaimed residential and commercial developments. Over the past 30 years, it has championed over R500-million worth of successful developments from visualisation, design, financing, to development.

Moore says the company's achievements are a result of two factors. "Kellaprince Properties' leadership bring impressive management and entrepreneurial skills to the table. However, we also believe in investing in our people, many of whom have been part of the team for years. Our office environment operates on the principles of mutual respect, interdependence, and a consultative style of management."

Making an impact, one kindness at a time

As a business with strong ties to Mbombela, Kellaprince Properties takes pride in doing its part to make a difference in the community and pay forward the support received. Moore highlights the real estate agency's commitment to social responsibility.

"Kellaprince Properties prioritises outreach, which is likely why we've been recognised as amongst the best of Mbombela. One of our owners, Keith Kellar, was responsible for finding Nelspruit Hospice's new premises as well as donors to cover the purchase price.

"We've done food drives for Betty's Haven and treated senior citizens at Huis Herfsakker to hot cross buns and live entertainment during Easter. Our practitioners have done various golf days to support Innibos Laeveld Nasionale Kunstefees, Child Welfare Nelspruit, and Grace Baby Haven.

"The company also has a soft spot for Nelspruit's fur babies. Our practitioners have rolled up their sleeves and sold boerewors rolls at shopping centres to raise funds for the Nelspruit SPCA. Our Kella-Pet-Fund accepts donations of any kind in support of the SPCA. In 2018 alone, it raised over R175,000 for the organisation."

Onward and upward for Kellaprince Properties

Moore extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted for the company in the Best of Mbombela awards.

"Your support means the world to us. We will remain committed to providing exceptional service and building lasting relationships with our clients. We are proud to be a part of the Mbombela community and are grateful for the trust you have placed in us to help you with your property needs. Our team looks forward to serving you for many years to come."
